Club91 – The Place To Be In Manchester

Forget TigerTiger, forget Cantrememberthename. There’s a new club in town. Totally stirring up Manchester’s nightlife. It’s located on the 13^th floor at the Light Hotel in Church Street. Yes, there you do have a breathtaking, amazing, cool, another flat adjective view over Manchester.

The name? Just simple: Club91. No doorman, no dress code, no over priced cocktails. So what is it all about?

Three nights a year at about 11pm it opens its door for rock stars from all over the world. And they do come a-flocking. Here they just can hang out without all their fans (sorry: followers). Even if sometimes a paparazzi shows up they just can be as normal as normal people in here. And they do enjoy it. Although they have to bring their own alcohol. They talk, they play games and sometimes they even sing some of their biggest hits together. You know, like “Angels”, “My Way” or “Stand by me”.

Who owns it? Some “Dudes”. They’re quite known in the travelblogosphere but rumors say they do wanna found a worldwide club-empire. Next one could be opened in September in Innsbruck. Over here you will find some tips how to get on the guest list.

Club91, the only place in town where drinking and constantly using your mobile phone to tweet/take photos is acceptable

So much fun, was great seeing everyone.

I heard they had to close it down. Apparently the place become overrun with stray penguins…
Ah halcyon days in one of the most exclusive retreats in dirty old Manc.

That’s quite a group of rock stars. Some of my favorites are on that list! Sounds like TBU was very cool, I mean awesome, I mean amazing — let’s just say it sounds like it was a really good time.

Sounds like this place is simple wonderful. I mean a place where you can just relax be you and not worry. To top it off using the mobile phone to tweet and facebook while drinking sounds like the best.
