My trip to Sweden – An Instagram Diary
22Old Swede. Ok, this just works in German. Just imagine I’ve said something like: Gosh! Because that’s nearly the same like when we say “Alter Schwede” in German. No idea where this comes from, but well, when in Sweden, that’s what I’ve said often. Amazing, stunning, ALTER SCHWEDE. And Sweden is just beautiful. And don’t get me started talking about Swedish men. GOSH. Bearded and tattooed. Sigh. And they are cool, the Swedes, laid back and well, Swedish. They know how the lamb (sorry, inside joke) cat jumps, how to enjoy life and so on. Perfect soundtrack for this? Here you go:
Feist – Mushaboom
And now listen to Feist and enjoy my Instagram pictures from my trip to Sweden…

Goteborg will be a synonym for jeans from now on for me. Why? Will tell you soon…
Liseberg in Goteborg is Northern Europe’s biggest amusement park.

I had a lot of fun in Gröna Lund in Stockholm…
Sunset in Stockholm at 10pm. Yes. 10pm.

2h spare time? Hop on a boat, drive to Fjäderholmarna, eat an ice cream, feel happy.

Make your hipster heart happy at Grandpa.

And then it was time to say goodbye… but I will be back. For sure!

Thanks again to VisitSweden and airberlin for inviting me on this trip.

When we lived in Norway, Sweden was one of the countries we did not go to and regret that now. It was so close, but our thinking was that living in Norway gave us exposure to Scandinavia so we should focus on other countries. Big mistake. Your pics look great, and Instagram adds some definite coolness to them
You definitely have to visit Sweden, I also do love Norway, but Sweden is definitely different and worth a visit!
Also eigentlich hasse ich diese ganzen Instagram Fotos ja regelrecht. Alle posten Fotos mit unendlich vielen Filtereffekten.
Gefällt mir.
Aber so als Reisefotos finde ich Sie dann doch ganz chic
I really loved watching your trip through Instagram, so cool of you to put them all in one post! Stockholm and Gothenburg are both great but of course my heart belongs to Malmö – it has been my home for the past two years. Let me know if you make it here on your next visit, I’ll show you around
Thanks, Larissa. I definitely would love to visit Malmö, will let you know when I get the chance!
Aww I’m all kinds of excited now! I cannot freakin’ wait until October for my trip throughout Sweden. You really raised the bar high
You will have a great time in Sweden! It’s a beautiful country with beautiful people
Pretty pictures– you definitely make instagram work for you! I’d love to visit Sweden sometime.
Incredible pics! The one of the jeans made me chuckle:)
Excellent photos! That ice cream looks delicious!
I remember Liseberg from a trip to Sweden when I was 5. I loved it!
Beautiful pics of a beautiful country, and you are so right about Swedish men
Love the ice cream picture. That focus playing stuff is great for me. And such a cool mix of photos and the music.
Bearded, tattooed men? Um, sign me up.
Can’t believe you used Feist in this post. You’re my new BFF.
I’m dying to visit Sweden – we’re close enough now, just have to plan it. Love your pics!
Great shots, love the flag at the beginning and the ice cream particularly. Sweden sounds fun!
Out of everywhere I’ve travelled to Göteborg has the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen!
It is so lovely walking from one side to the other whilst listening to bands and artists from Göteborg, such as The Knife
Mushaboom has always been my favorite Feist song and you are right, it makes a perfect soundtrack behind these photos. This looks like such a carefree, laid back adventure.
Love your photo of Stockholm at sunset!
