Would love to visit Cuba. Love your colorful, vibrant photos. They really seem to capture the Cuba that I’ve always imagined.
Thank you Cathy. Cuba is definitely a place where you’ll find what you imagined…
And for a really great travel guidebook for Cuba I highly recommend My Seductive Cuba by Chen Lizra. She is a dancer and really knows the cultural scene.
Thanks for the tip Leigh, will check it out!
I love the photos of the people – they really bring the place to life. I can’t wait to visit there one day.
Love the portraits!
Thank you Sophie. The story behind the picture of the woman is actually very interesting. I was walking through Trinidad when this woman came to me and asked me if she can have my bra. yes, my bra. Cubans often don’t have the possibilty to buy stuff like bras, tights or even lighter and pens, so they often ask tourists for stuff like this. I didn’t gave her my bra in the end but some other stuff and asked her if I could take her picture. She was very friendly and even invited me for dinner in her house, but sadly I had to catch a bus.
You’ve just further stocked my desire to go to Cuba. Oh my goodness–that beach! Looks like a Hollywood version of the perfect beach.
Haha, yes this beach is amazing. And I had the best Pina Colada in my life at this beach… 😀
Cayo Largo is beautiful! I bet those sands are softer and smoother that what the photo shows which makes it even better! Cuba looks certainly looks like a wonderful place.
Yes, it is Alexa. 😀 but it’s really difficult to walk through those sands because they are so soft and smooth 😀
