Im Mondrian Hotel ist Miami dann wieder so, wie man es kennt. Hip, posh und sexy.
Wenn es regnet in Florida, dann aber richtig. In nullkommanix vom Sunshine State zu triefnass und zurück. Und dann sind die Straßen reißende Flüsse und man ist froh wenn man sich irgendwo schnell unterstellen kann. Das Gute ist, dass die Sonne sich dann aber doch immer wieder durchsetzt.
„Ein kleiner Schritt für einen Menschen, ein großer Schritt für die Menschheit“. Um ehrlich zu sein war das Kennedy Space Center nich ganz so mein Ding, aber immerhin hab ich gelernt wie Astronauten im All Pipi machen und dass sie das wiederum nutzen um Sauerstoff herzustellen. Eww. Ja.
Floridas Strände dagegen haben mich voll und ganz begeistert.
Hier, am Cocoa Beach, sollte ich eigentlich Surfen lernen. Aber ich war so gut, dass ich quasi dem Surflehrer was beigebracht habe. Vielleicht hab ich es aber auch nich einmal aufs Brett geschafft. Man weiß es nicht. Also ich mein, sucht’s euch aus.
Wir waren zweimal Airboat fahren, und beides Mal war ich total fasziniert von der Spiegelung des Himmels im Wasser. Und ja, den Alligatoren.
Eines meiner Highlights meiner Florida Reise: der Besuch der Discovery Cove. Mit Delfinen schwimmen ist toll, aber dieses SeaVenture Erlebnis is einfach nur HAMMER.

Not sure what I love most – the cloud porn, the beaches or the 90s comeback. 😉
I constantly sing that song when I think of Miami. A close second is „I’m in Miami bitch“ That Vespa graffiti tour sounds fantastic, I can’t wait to read about that. I usually don’t take tours but graffiti tours are usually really cool.

Miami is pretty cool – I love the art-deco architecture. The west side of Florida and the keys are more laid back, and not as dress-up to go out. Next visit to Florida, check out the beaches on the pan-handle of Florida on the Gulf, like right around Destin, FL – the sand is white and very fine – and the water is warmer.

What lovely pictures. I’m not much of a fan of Florida, though good to remember that there are nice things there too. I guess it just got ruined as a kid going with parents and thinking it was full of old people and too hot.
I went to Miami once for a day and ended up not really moving it was so hot.
Isn’t Instagram amazing?! Two things I need to do: 1. Buy an iPhone and 2. Visit Florida! I want to see the manatees 🙂
