I’m a huge road trip fan. Give me a car, sunshine and I’m happy. And it doesn’t matter where I am, the essential thing is nature – road trips in cities is not so much my style. In July I was for one week in Emilia-Romagna and it was pretty easy to convince Nick and Sebastian to go on a road trip with me! We just jumped in the car and hit the road. That’s what I like most when going on a road trip: just driving and driving without any special plan and just stay where it’s beautiful. And that’s what we did. We drove up and down the mountains, visited every castle which came in sight (and I’m pretty sure we heard a ghost in one of the castles, but the guys laughed at me), we climbed down an old Roman bridge to a river bed to have picnic there, met awesome people on the way and we even had a Disney moment when we drove through a valley with thousand and thousand of butterflies. I nearly started singing…
Road Trip, Baby!
As I’m compiling right now the ultimate road trip playlist… what do you think – which are the best songs for a road trip?

Picturesque views. Enjoyed the video and thanks for sharing.
And I think any music with a mellifluous beat can be the backdrop to jaw dropping scenery. Good work!
Great video! And amazing vistas.
As far as road trips go, I’ve always been partial to the rambling song by jethro tull. It’s an oldie but a classic road tripper!
LOVE the song. Totally captures the feeling of a warm summer drive. Great video. 🙂
Fun video! It looks like a beautiful region to explore. 🙂
i would love to have seen all those butterflies. i bet that was beautiful. sounds like you had a great time.
Beautiful! It looks as though you are all having the time of your lives! The scenery is gorgeous – as is the ancient architecture and it’s remnants and well-maintained ruins. A perfect region for a picnic.. or perhaps even few days or weeks of slow, beautiful living!
What a wonderful video – you really summed up the vibe of a road trip and well Italy looks amazing!
That was a really beautiful video! You really did sum-up what Emilia-Romagna! Love those butterflies 🙂
You did it right, love to be surprised by where the road goes and what’s seen along the way… even if I choose a road without much on it, maybe just fields or just bldgs – you don’t know unless you… go!
I love the way you edited this video. The song, the shots of fields and butterflies, the close-up of the wine landing in your glass — it’s all so breezy and beautiful. I want to go back to Emilia-Romagna now.
It looks so beautiful there. We love road trips too. Loved your video. I really enjoyed watching it. Feels like you are there with your guys. Loved the butterflies. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
