India: 8 weeks, 8 faces

It’s true, India is indeed incredible. Filled with incredible scents and at times quite simply just incredibly smelly, bursting with incredible colours, incredibly varied in landscapes, incredibly pious, incredibly dirty and inhabited by incredibly friendly people. In short, India is incredibly overwhelming. It’s such a vast and varied nation that staying a bit longer is the best way to experience it. You will need time to soak it up and then let it all sink in.

We spent eight weeks in total in India, and only visited five out of 22 states. As a little taste of our trip, we selected a portrait a week to share with you.

The Faces of Borneo – And the Stories behind

My trip to Borneo was one of these trips you’ll remember forever. Travelling how I like it. With jungle and spending a lot of time with the locals (and not the tourists) and islands with nothing on it than each one hotel and also a lot of awesome people. Borneo or more precisely Kalimantan (that’s…

The Faces of Mauritius – A Story in Pictures of the beautiful Mauritius People

The pictures of Mauritius I had in my mind so far were beaches, palms, honeymooners, happy couples, love, peace and harmony. And to be honest: that sounded super boring. Sure: paradise and stuff. But what am I (single) to do there, where mostly happy couples spend the best time (?) of their life? Tell myself…
