11 Best Travel Quotes – From Movies
Travel quotes have always been an inspiration for me. We know these “not all those who wander read only one page with a single step” travel quotes. And yes, I do like them, and some are really inspiring. But movies can be even more inspiring. There are movies like “Amelié,” which made me want to live in Paris, or movies like “Out of Africa,” which catalyzed my obsession with time travel. I even found travel wisdom in “Fight Club.” And there’s some fantastic travel wisdom scattered across these movies.

THE beach from “The Beach”
Here are my favourite travel moments and quotes – from movies.
Some of them may encourage you to rethink traveling and how you travel and some of them may just make you laugh.
1. In “Fight Club,” Edward Norton’s character describes the disorienting blur of frequent-flyer life — airport after airport, time zone after time zone — and wonders aloud whether waking up somewhere completely different could turn you into a completely different person.
2. “Paris is always a good idea.”
Audrey Hepburn in “Sabrina”
3. In “The Beach,” Richard admits that beneath the traveler’s instinct to chase the next story is something a lot more universal: a quiet fear of the unknown, and the urge to keep some small piece of home close by anyway.
4. In “Motorcycle Diaries,” a young Ernesto Guevara reflects on how profoundly his journey across South America has changed him — to the point that he barely recognizes the person he was before he left.
5. In “Titanic,” Jack describes what he loves most about a life without a fixed plan — waking up with no idea what the day holds, who he’ll meet, or where he’ll end up.
6. In “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” Indy tells his students that real discovery has nothing to do with maps or marked spots — X never actually marks the treasure.
7. “What do you expect from a place where men wear sandals?”
Chuck Bass in “Gossip Girl”
8. “English, who needs that? I’m never going to England”
Homer Simpson
9. “There’s no place like home”
From “The Wizard of Oz”
10. In “Pulp Fiction,” Vincent tells Jules that Europe isn’t really so different from home — it’s the small, everyday details that throw you, not the big stuff.
11. “Let’s never come here again because it would never be as much fun.”
Charlotte in “Lost in Translation”
Do you want to know which is my favorite from these? Definitely the one from “Motorcycle Diaries.” Every single trip I have taken, from the day trip hiking in the woods to the two months of backpacking in New Zealand, every one of my travels changed me: a new culture, a new breathtaking view, and another smile on people’s faces. Every single experience leaves a mark on me and changes me profoundly, and that’s what I love the most about traveling.
